Alexandra Wallgren

Hometown: Duluth, Minnesota

Major: BioChemistry

Alexandra attended Hermantown High School in Hermantown, Minnesota. She loves fitness and reading. After receiving her doctorate in physical therapy, she plans on gaining her licensure as a chiropractor and certified acupuncturist.    “I chose Creighton for its Physical Therapy program allowing me to receive my Ph.D. in 6 years instead of 7. I was also impressed by the way Creighton made me feel like an individual student. ”
   

Mariah Meeks

College of St. Benedict/St. John University

Hometown: Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Major: Nutrition/Psychology/Pre-Physical Therapy

Mariah attended Steamboat Springs High School in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She works at The Boys and Girls Club. She enjoys going to concerts, hiking, baking and hanging out with her  friends. She plans on getting her Nutrition and Psychology degr “I chose College of St. Benedict/St. John because when I was on my visit everything was really comfortable. When I told them about my future plans, they knew how to plan my 4 years to help me reach my goals.”
   

Sophia Hengelbrok

Xavier University

Hometown: Berlin, Germany

Major: Undecided

Sophia attended John F. Kennedy School in Berlin, Germany. In her free time she loves to play sports including lacrosse, read, travel, cook and write. She is unsure about what she will study and which career she will choose in the future. She know she wan “I chose Xavier because of its strong academic programs, Jesuit values and warm campus community. While visiting Xavier, I felt at home, which is important to me as I have never lived in the United States before. My father, grandfather and other family members are alumni.”
   

Felix Lopez

The Catholic University of America - Washington, DC

Hometown: Buena Park, CA

Major: Philosophy, Pre-Law

“With picturesque scenery, well-designed landscaping and buildings ranging from old stone castle types to modern industrial types, CUA's campus holds plenty of beauty with its rich history. Also, many people, faculty and students alike, share a great hospitable spirit and show a genuine interest in helping one another. Lastly, public transportation is accessible and dependable with the metro stop on campus and the city of Washington, D.C. and all its professional, social, and cultural opportunities at our fingertips!”
   

Kate Butters

Franciscan University of Steubenville - Steubenville, OH

Hometown: Madison, VA

Major: Nursing

Kate Butters wanted two things out of a college education: an academic foundation that would help her succeed in this life, and a spiritual foundation that would help her succeed in the next. She found both at Franciscan University of Steubenville.

   

Corinne Larkin

Boston College

Hometown: Cherry Hill, New Jersey

Major: Nursing

Corinne attended Bishop Eustace High School in Pennsauken Township, New Jersey. She spends her time practicing and competing in diving, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Her future plans include obtaining a Bachelor's of Science and Nurs “I chose Boston College because I truly felt like I fit in there, and I also immediately felt the sense of community present on campus.”
   

Adrienne Boykin

Fordham University - New York, NY

Hometown: Middletown, NJ

Adrienne graduated in 2009 from the College of Business Administration and represented the University at two academic conferences on corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability.

Peter Heuer

Niagara University, NY

“I knew I wanted to attend Niagara as an Education major since I was a sophomore in High School. Niagara's Education program has garnered and maintained the highest respect both nationally and internationally. Academically, there was no questioning my decision. My only fear was that as a commuter, I would miss out on the “college experience”. Niagara, however, has provided me an environment in which I have become both academically and socially involved. Through campus activities and my experience working with Niagara's Radio Station and Theatre Department I have begun new experiences that continue to grow every day.”
   

Ashley Bennett

Franciscan University of Steubenville

Hometown: Ardmore, Pennsylvania

Major: Theology and Catechetics

Ashley attended Radnor High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. She has a passion for singing, especially through praise and worship music, leadership, Jesus and roller coasters. She was in color guard for 3 years, and she loved participating in that program. “I first stepped on Franciscan's campus the summer before my junior year. When I was there, I felt like I was at home, and I knew I wanted to attend. The religious environment is awesome, and I love all of the people there. Everyone is so welcoming.”
   

Anna Kallqvist, Class of 2014

Mount Mercy University - Cedar Rapids, IA

Hometown: Stockholm, Sweden

Anna had no idea where she wanted to go after she had graduated high school. Several schools in the U.S. contacted Anna, but after being recruited for golf, she made a visit to Mount Mercy and decided it would be a good fit. “The people here are very friendly and I am very happy with my college choice!”
