The National CCAA Texas Recruitment Program
About the tour
For the first time, the National CCAA offered a recruitment program covering the four major cities in Texas: Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston in 2015. The 2016 tour took place from October 24 to 28, 2016 and traveled to Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. The week consisted of high school visits, a college fair and reception in Houston, and a college fair in San Antonio. We were pleased to offer the same quality and expertise with the Texas tour that is offered with our other tours, at a cost-efficient price.
Participants spent two evenings in Dallas (Sunday, October 23 and Monday, October 24), two evenings in Houston (Tuesday, October 25 and Wednesday, October 26), and one evening in San Antonio (Thursday, October 27). This year, the tour included participation in a TACRAO-sponsored college fair in San Antonio on Thursday, October 27, and participation in our own Catholic college fair and counselor reception in Houston on Wednesday, October 26.
The week's schedule:
Hotels & Flights:
Reduced room rates are available at a hotel in each city (Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio). Click here for details about making reservations for these reduced rates.
Please make your reservations by the dates listed on the form in order to ensure that you receive the reduced rates. The first deadline (for the Houston hotel) is September 25.
Participants should make airfare reservations to arrive in Dallas by the afternoon of Sunday, October 23, and to depart out of San Antonio on Friday, October 28.
*All college representatives participating in the Texas Recruitment Program must attend every CCAA-sponsored high school visit, college fair, and counselor reception during the week. The program is promoted with the understanding that all participating schools will be at each event.*
About National CCAA Recruitment Tours
Participants often indicate that National CCAA recruitment tours stand apart from other organized recruitment tours. Many representatives return each year because they find that the affinity with other Catholic colleges and universities broadens interest from students considering a Catholic college or university. They also enjoy the unique camaraderie, building stronger professional networks with admission colleagues and secondary school counselors.
Participants appreciate that the tour details – including school visits, fairs, and transportation – are well organized by National CCAA staff, leaving representatives more time before and during the trip to develop relationships with schools and students.
In general, group travel is cost effective, and our recruitment programs tend to be even less expensive than similar recruitment tours offered by other organizations.
