Benefits of membership

Your membership in the National CCAA can substantially benefit your institution in many ways, including:

An increased online presence

Students and parents regularly visit the National CCAA website as a first stop for researching Catholic higher education, searching for members, and requesting information. Your presence on our site keeps your institution visible in students’ searches for Catholic universities and colleges. Any requests for information about your institution through the National CCAA website are shared with you to include in your inquiry pool.

Participation in recruitment programs

Our consortium trips to Puerto Rico and Latin America, and a brand-new trip to Texas in fall 2015 extend your recruitment reach while saving on expenses through group travel. These recruitment programs are only offered to National CCAA members and connect you with students interested in Catholic higher education while networking and sharing best practices with colleagues.

Attendance at the Annual Catholic Colleges Reception at NACAC

The National CCAA Catholic Colleges reception continues to be the premier gathering at the annual NACAC conference each year. Foster relationships that are crucial to your school’s recruitment and enrollment as you informally network with nearly 1,000 secondary school and independent counselors who are recognized as “friends” of Catholic higher education.

The 2019 reception will take place on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 7:30-10 p.m. at the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Registration will open in mid-August here on our website.  The reception is open to secondary school counselors, independent counselors, transfer counselors from two-year/community colleges and admission staff from National CCAA member institutions.

In the past, receptions have been held at exciting venues, including Salt Lake City's Natural History Museum of Utah, Boston's John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Columbus's Franklin Park Conservatory, the San Diego Zoo, Indianapolis's Indiana State Museum, Toronto’s Hockey Hall of Fame, Denver's History Colorado, New Orleans’ House of Blues and the St. Louis Arch.

Partnerships that benefit members

The National CCAA collaborates with organizations that support our mission to be leaders in promoting Catholic higher education. We are an affiliate member of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU), sharing our expertise with Catholic college presidents through ACCU. We also partner with the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA), the organization that sponsors Catholic Schools Week, to contribute valuable advice to Catholic school counselors and teachers about encouraging students to consider Catholic higher education.

Access to scholarships for your students

Each fall, the National CCAA offers 16 one-time $1,000 scholarships to incoming freshmen attending member institutions. Over 3,200 students applied for the scholarship online in the spring of 2019, with many applicants accessing information about member colleges and universities in the process.
