A 2025 National CCAA Transfer Scholarship recipient, Marissa will attend Gannon University. She shared that many factors went into her decision to enroll. "I loved their atmosphere, and the Catholic based academics were very attractive to me."
Marissa previously attended Erie County Community College and at Gannon, she will pursue a Radiologic Technology major. When asked about her future plans, she shared "my future plans are to stay working in my field for a while before deciding if I am going to continue my education further. I am beyond excited to see where this education takes me. "

Why did you choose to attend a Catholic college/university?
It is import to me to continue my education surrounded by people that are also led by God. I truly believe this kind of atmosphere will foster great success in all that I do.
What aspect of your college/university are you most excited about?
Definitely the sense of community. Gannon Knights have such a sense of pride and respect for their institution, I am glad to be a part of that.
What one tip about the transfer process would you share with future transfer students?
Explore all avenues, take any opportunity that comes your way. Most importantly, trust your instinct and God's path.
What advice would you share with students who are considering transferring?
Do it. The community and environment is like no other. Do not be afraid of new doors that are opening for you— take advantage of them.
