A 2026 graduate of IDEA Ewing Halsell, Juliann will attend St. Mary's University. She shared that many factors played a part in her decision to enroll. "I chose to attend St. Mary’s University because it’s close to home, offers a good Forensic Science program with a Criminology option that matches my interests, and has a very welcoming community that makes it feel like a great fit for me."
As a student at St. Mary's, Juliann plans to major in Forensic Science. When asked about her future plans, she shared "my future plans are to earn my degree in forensic science and work toward becoming a forensic scientist. I hope to use my knowledge and skills to help solve crimes, analyze evidence, and contribute to the justice system."

Why did you choose to attend a Catholic college/university?
I chose St. Mary's University because its Catholic values of integrity, service, and compassion align with my own values. I also appreciate the welcoming community and strong forensic science program, which will help me prepare for my future career while growing both academically and personally.
What aspect of your college/university are you most excited about?
I am most excited about meeting new people, building lasting connections, and discovering a new path in my education. I look forward to learning new skills, exploring my interests in forensic science, and growing both academically and personally.
What one tip about the college application process would you share with seniors or their parents?
My biggest tip is to be patient and trust the process. Applying to college is not always easy, and there may be challenges along the way, but all of the hard work and perseverance will be worth it in the end.
What is one fun fact about you?
I enjoy baking sweet treats for my family and friends.
