A 2026 National CCAA Transfer Scholarship recipient, Alexandria will attend University of St. Francis. She shared that many factors went into her decision to enroll, "it’s closer to home, had a great nursing program, and offered me a good transfer scholarship."
Alexandria previously attended Joliet Junior College and at University of St. Francis, she will pursue a Nursing major. In the future she plans "to become a Psychiatric NP to help those struggling with mental illnesses and emotional issues."

Why did you choose to attend a Catholic college/university?
A Catholic university allows me to stay active in my faith while pursuing my education.
What aspect of your college/university are you most excited about?
I’m excited to become more independent, self-sufficient, and to work towards something that’s been my goal since I was a child.
What one tip about the transfer process would you share with future transfer students?
Make sure to check all the requirements needed to transfer to your school way ahead of time so you’re not rushing closer to your start date.
What advice would you share with students who are considering transferring?
Trust your gut with your decision and do what makes you happy because at the end of the day, it’ll be you who has to put the work in to get where you want and you don’t want to have any regrets.
