A 2026 National CCAA Transfer Scholarship recipient, Kayli will attend John Carroll University. She shared that many factors went into her decision to enroll. "I chose John Carroll because I wanted a fresh start. The community was welcoming and when I first visited campus, I was greeted with love and hope that this is where I will thrive for the rest of my college experience."
Kayli previously attended University of Akron and at John Carroll, she will pursue a Sociology & Criminology major. She is unsure of her future plans.
We asked Kayli:
Why did you choose to attend a Catholic college/university?
I grew up in the Catholic church my entire life. I attended a Catholic grammar school and high school and loved every moment.
What aspect of your college/university are you most excited about?
I am most excited to be part of a small campus and meet new people.
What one tip about the transfer process would you share with future transfer students?
Plan early so you aren’t stressing about housing, registration, etc.
What advice would you share with students who are considering transferring?
If your heart is pulling you one way, listen to it. You have to do what is best for you and even though starting over is scary, it can be so worth it in the end.
