The National CCAA at NACAC
Each year, you will find the National CCAA active and prominent at the National Association for College Admission Counselors (NACAC) Conference. Our annual reception is the premier event of the conference, and our membership meeting and breakfast offers our members access to research, enrollment strategies, networking and more.
Catholic Colleges Reception
The National CCAA hosts the National CCAA Catholic Colleges Reception, a memorable event alongside the annual NACAC conference. The casual event brings together nearly 1,000 secondary school and independent counselors and admission representatives from National CCAA member institutions for networking and conversation. Each year boasts remarkable entertainment, food and drinks, and an unforgettable evening.
The 2017 reception will be held on Friday, September 15 from 7-10 p.m. at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, Massachusetts.
- Registration opens on August 15 at 12 pm ET. Click here to register.
- Once we hit maximum capacity, we will close down registration, so please register early. Registration may close in a few hours!
- Due to anticipated high attendance at the NACAC conference and limited space in the JFK, attendees may not bring a guest.
Please note: A ticket is required for entry, and the reception is ONLY for secondary school counselors, independent counselors, transfer counselors from two-year/community colleges, and admission representatives from National CCAA member institutions. Tickets are non-transferable, and you must wear your NACAC badge and carry your reception ticket with you.
Member colleges and universities: Be a reception sponsor! This is an outstanding way to promote your institution to nearly 1,000 counselors. Click here for more information and to sign up by Friday, August 11.
Membership Meeting and Breakfast
The annual National CCAA membership meeting and breakfast typically takes place on the Thursday morning of the NACAC conference, right before the official start of the conference. In the past, these meetings have involved research presentations demonstrating the value and benefits of Catholic higher education to assist admission professionals with their enrollment strategies. The meetings also serve as an opportunity for members to meet National CCAA board members and other admission colleagues from Catholic colleges and universities across the United States.
The 2016 annual membership meeting was a great success. Whiteboard Higher Education presented the results of its national study on parental influence of students admitted to Catholic colleges and universities this fall.
Registration information for the 2017 membership meeting will be sent to National CCAA members in August.
Please note: Only admission staff from National CCAA member institutions are invited to the annual membership meeting.
The National CCAA annually staffs a booth in the Exhibit Hall of the NACAC Conference. Stop by to pick up your reception ticket (advance registration required), say hello to board members, and connect with us. We love meeting with our members and counselors!
