The National CCAA Latin America Recruitment Program
Latin America presents excellent recruitment opportunities for Catholic universities and colleges. Latin America and the Caribbean are home to the majority of the world’s Catholic population; thirty-nine percent of Catholics are found in this region of the world (Pew Forum). Many Latin American students and families recognize the importance of an international educational experience, with many students seeking to improve their English language skills.
About the tour
The National CCAA has led the recruitment tour to Latin America since 2009. The smaller size of the tour, which averages 15 member institutions each year, offer participants the opportunity for meaningful interaction with students, parents and counselors in as many as seven countries in just over two weeks. The tour participants participate in counselor breakfasts and visit carefully selected high schools, meeting with students who are interested in Catholic higher education and in attending college in the U.S.
The 2017 tour will be held from Sunday, March 5 to Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Now in its ninth year, the tour will include visits to schools in Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Colombia.
Anne Faucett, Director of International Admission and Services at Benedictine College (Kansas), is the tour's lead coordinator and Ryan Konkright, Associate Director of Admission at St. Mary's University (Texas), is the assistant coordinator. Wren & Fida International, a professional travel company specializing in international travel for educational institutions, is again serving as travel partner.
Below are links with information about the 2017 tour. The deadline to register is December 1, 2016 and requires a $350 deposit to secure your spot.

About National CCAA Recruitment Tours
Participants often indicate that National CCAA recruitment tours stand apart from other organized recruitment tours. Many representatives find that the affinity with other Catholic colleges and universities broadens interest from students considering a Catholic college or university. They also enjoy the unique camaraderie, building stronger professional networks with admission colleagues and secondary school counselors.
Participants appreciate that the tour details – including school visits, fairs, and transportation – are well organized by Wren & Fida and National CCAA staff, leaving representatives more time before and during the trip to develop relationships with schools and students.
In general, group travel is cost effective, and our recruitment programs tend to be even less expensive than similar recruitment tours offered by other organizations.
